Snowboard gear is pricey, and I needed a new board and jacket this year, so I needed a jacket that wasn't a Montec/Dope/Burton high price tag. After sending back a $50 jacket that was sized terribly, I increased my search price and found this jacket, PRAYING that it would work, as even this gem was half the price of every brand name jacket I found. First off, I'm 5'6", 131 pounds, and hella curvy. Finding a snowboard jacket that doesn't make me look like the Michelin Man is near impossible. This jacket was no different. There is a noticeable slim fit, but with my hourglass figure, I'm just doomed to look stocky in a thick coat. There is no way to make the waist smaller, so keep that in mind. However, I do not regret sizing up and snagging a medium. True, this jacket doesn't show off my figure, BUT, the sleeves and length are PERFECT. My butt is mostly covered and I can actually use the thumb holes in the sleeves (my last jacket was just short enough in the sleeves that I couldn't use the thumb holes without believing my thumbs were going to be cut clean off. )So I wouldn't size down. I'll accept the extra space and lack of waist trimming ability for the benefit of everything else being perfect, plus I have plenty of room to wear multiple layers under the jacket. I love that the snow skirt (I wear a bib, so don't need) and the hoodie (I wear a helmet and a fleece ski hood, so I never use one) are removable, and I love the four external zipper pockets! I wish there was a zipper pocket inside, but I still appreciate the two huge mesh pockets inside where I can put my gloves, beanie, etc. Despite my initial concerns over the shape, I live this jacket!!Just keep that in mind if you're similarly shaped. Also, in the photo, the jacket looks pink and blue. It is not. It is blue and a very bright orange. This doesn't bother me, I love it, but just note that the color is person is super neon orange. Would recommend!!!
