This coat made me feel like a penguin! I can go medium or large depending on the product so I sized up to a large seeing as this is a winter coat and I’d need to fit layers or sweaters underneath and wanted it to still look clean once I zipped. I think that was my first mistake but the large is huge on me and seems to already be roomy for your true size. There is also some stretch to it. However the jacket itself is still very puffy and airy so I can’t say that I’d definitely be happy if I had gotten the medium but it definitely would’ve been better. The double zipper is a nice touch because if you do get your true size and want more walking room you can pull the bottom zipper up since it’s a longer coat. To be honest I feel a little embarrassed and uncomfortable with how this fits me personally to wear in public, but will probably wear it outside with my dog or to clear snow or whatnot.
This jacket fits true to size with room for a couple bulky layers underneath. The side pockets snap closed instead of zip but I prefer not sticking my wrists between two zippers so I like this. The coat only zips up and I would have preferred a button placket that laid across the zipper but the zipper works smoothly and is 2 way from top and bottom. Collar stands up kinda tall, almost too tall, but it's ok when I can get it to lay down. The jacket is warm without being too heavy. The cuffs of the sleeves are not really elastic so might get drafty but allows for good movement.
I'm so impressed with this puff jacket! The quilting pattern is slimming compared to other jackets I've owned. The coat feels buttery soft, lightweight, and warm. I like how the collar folds down, and I'm glad it doesn't have a hood. Great color too! The pockets snap closed, and the inside feels well-made. The zipper is a pretty rose-gold color. I wore it today and even received a few compliments. I took a chance on it, and I'm happy I did.
